The "Mailings" tab in Microsoft Word 2013 contains various tools and options to help you create and manage mailings, such as envelopes, labels, and letters. Below is a brief overview of each group of tools and what they do:
1. Create :- This group of tools lets you
create new mailings, such as envelopes, labels, and letters. You can choose
from various templates or create your own customized design. You can also
preview your mailing before printing or sending it.
2. Start Mail Merge :- This group of tools lets
you start a mail merge process, which is a way to create personalized letters,
envelopes, or labels for a large number of recipients. You can choose to use an
existing list of recipients or create a new list.
3. Write & Insert Fields :- This group
of tools lets you insert fields, such as names, addresses, and dates, into your
mailings. These fields will be automatically populated with data from your
recipient list when you perform a mail merge.
4. Preview Results :- This group of tools lets
you preview how your mailings will look for each recipient. You can preview one
or all of your mailings, and make any necessary adjustments before printing or
sending.
5. Finish :- This group of tools lets you
complete the mail merge process. You can choose to print your mailings, send
them as email messages, or save them as individual documents.
